Based on Solfeggio Frequencies, HZ merges the healing potential of painting with the power of sound. These paintings are tools to access a space that goes beyond the visible. An inner space established in everyone and that can only be found in the silence of the mind.

THE SILENCE OF THE REPRESENTATION

With the monochromatic black, the effect of the light going from the painting toward the eyes gives birth to the canvas. The subtle shades coming from the polished cement contrast with the rough edge of the iron lines. Discreet and contained visual phenomena appear. The painting is vibrating.

In the tradition of Minimalism and the « Black paintings » of Franck Stella, the painting has is own reality and is not an imitation of something else. The medium from which it is made and the form of the work is reality. As such, the artwork is nothing more than its own materiality, cement, and iron. By not pretending to be anything more than what you see, these artworks talk about acceptance of what is. Facing the silence of their materiality, they speak the truth because what you see inside belongs to you.

In its extreme minimalism, black comes alive. It excludes the world, purifies the gaze, and creates a psychological space where non-perception is reflected inwards. The observer is engulfed in a recessed space, an eternal distance where the silence of the representation reveals an inner sonority showing you what you need to look at.

CARVED FRAME

The burned and carved wooden frame coming with the pieces acts as an anchor to the ground. In contrast with the infinite distance creating by the artwork, the burned wooden frame connects with the earth elements. An invitation to stay present in the body while travelling in your inner reality. Through the delicate black mantras carved in all-over, the mystical dimension of the pieces reveals itself. Using meditation to access a specific state of consciousness, the artist-shaman uses theses scriptures to provide information that cannot be read by the mind but felt by the soul. A secret language in direct link with higher realms.

SILENCE TOTEM I & II

As an object serving as the emblem of a family or clan and often as a reminder of its ancestry, the concept of Totem caries in itself a strong legacy in human history. Through their titles and shapes « SILENCE TOTEM I & II offer themselves as high frequencies objects reminding the observer to calm the mind and look for the silence within in order to find answers.

With TOTEM I the energy is masculine, external. It acts as an invitation to drop into action, to create. It is about getting out of your mind in order to anchor your full potential in materiality. In TOTEM II the energy is feminine, and internal. Passive, waiting, gestating and nurturing, the feminine energy encourages to let go of control and trust that everything is exactly as it is supposed to be.

THE SOUND OF SILENCE

Following Kandinsky’s musical theory of abstract artwork, the spiritual quality of a painting is established in its ability to vibrate in the eyes and therefore emit an inaudible sound frequency. With HZ, the rhythmic organization of the iron lines on the black background transmits specific frequencies that vibrate directly with the soul of the observer.

The sound of silence is not something external to yourself. It is actually located in the space that appears in between your thoughts. Through the use of black monochrome (the silence of the representation) and the frequency waves ( the sound of silence), these paintings open a space of silence in the mind of the observer. Minimal in its aspect, HZ intends to open a gateway in the interiority of the observer. An infinite universe is present in each of us which can only be reached in front of the silence of the representation. By impoverishing the exterior in order to enrich the interior, the magical power of the unseen is revealed.

A universal silent sound that promotes a return to spiritual order.
